Mission: To promote a sense of well-being, belonging and fulfillment for older adults of South Asian heritage through community engagement, education, partnership building, and advocacy & civic involvement.
Project #1: documentation of processes, programming, marketing/social media, volunteer orientation, funding/grants, etc., then the template created can be shared with other chapters or organizations in other cities.
Project Need: 2 volunteers – one for overall business analysis and the other documenting the volunteer processes. Again, documenting the gaps.
Project #2: Want to create a volunteer orientation online. Would like that model to work for other interested groups nationally
Project Need: Online course creator; instructional designer
Project #3: QA testing on a platform called Keep Fluent, which acts as both a database and video storage platform. Videos are of classes—yoga, art, music, technology—for their older adults. Need processes and procedures addressed first for their use cases.
